This quote is something that speaks close to my heart, it rings so true, for me.
When I give a reading, it's not just the client (or questioner) that is learning from the cards. I do, too.
There is a lesson, a symbol, an element or meaning from the card turned over that applies to me just as much. In some instances, like attracts like. Empathy, sympathy and a companionship through similar life experiences comes through.
It is something that makes me strive to work harder for the client. That makes me push myself, to help them through, see the joy, and all the possibilities that are beyond the situation.
More importantly, it is key to me that there is joy, happiness, in the reading. A balance to all things that have been spoken about. It is not unusual for tears to flow as I begin to touch upon sensitive matters, heartaches and heartbreaks of all kinds, just as it is normal to find laughter in humourous circumstances, and wistful smiles from treasured memories.
A reading will contain past, present, future elements. The good, bad and all that is between them. That's how life is. For me, a thorough reading should reflect all those things, or there has not a full disclosure of honesty between us. Which, to me, is absolutely key to any reading; Tarot, Angel or Oracle.
And, hopefully, when the client walks away, they are armed with clarity and crystal clear thinking to enable them to focus in, move forward and go beyond the questions that were drifting through their minds as they began to shuffle the cards in their hands.
